Yup, I need a Blackberry Bold 9700, an affordable Prince Tennis Racket, and Garmin GPS system for my car. The Blackberry and GPS will be for work purposes. (I’ve recently got a new job that requires me to drive 30 minutes to Connecticut) Since I’ll have my car in the East Coast, of course I’ll be taking mini trips and will definitely needing a GPS vs. printing out directions everytime via google maps which is so oldschool/ancient. lol As for the Blackberry Bold, I really want a white one. At least I can have a sense that I’m not becoming the tool of society addicted to the blackberry. I’ve been thinking really hard and carefully – I know I’m in a great need of a efficient phone that has capabilities of email, messaging, maps, browsers and such but damn it! the American phone market is so slim and there are only so many to choose from.
So I thought of the iphone (which I’ve crossed out in my mind.. there is NO WAY I am using an iphone, just no way), Blackberry, Verizon Droids, T-mobile Androids. I’d love to get my hands on an HTC Android but the aesthetically pleasing ones are just out of my range atm. I can’t switch companies to Verizon because I’m on the family plan with my mother, and she’s paying the bills. So that left me at no choice with the Blackberry. I specifically want the Bold though, and not the Curve. If you don’t know me already, aesthetic wise, I hate curves anything. I love sharp geometric figures that can poke you in the eye and make it bleed. lol But seriously, I thought of the moment of me, carrying a blackberry, I would feel so old. I’ve always bought phones JUST for their aesthetics because to me they are an accessory. But now, they are something I need in order to keep efficient communications with and pretty much get through life in the most convenient ways. Personally I think the design of the Blackberry is so ugly, and people who uses the silicone casings on them makes it 10x uglier than how it already is. God… I don’t want to become one, but I might have to soon as I wait for a phone company that can make the almost perfect smart phone. (note, I wouldn’t be in this mental dillema if I were living in Europe or Asia. LOL)
But in the meantime, I think I will just get the Curve because it is ugly, and much cheaper than the Bold. And when I save enough for the Bold, I will sell the Curve on Ebay. As for the racket, since my lovely sister had forgotten to pack my two rackets at home as she went to visit me, I will have to buy one for the summer and hopefully get to play with random people in Astoria park! (14 FREE COURTS BABYYY) But I have to see, rackets are expensive these days …at least for a decent one. sigh. Money money money.
