So today was the internship fair, and half the companies I’ve listed in the post under weren’t even there. Way to keep professionalism …. but anyhow, I did get to speak with two on my list and stumbled upon an unplanned one.

I honestly don’t even know how to pronounce the third company .. (just so you know the scribbling on top is contacts to Saatchi & Saatchi…they happened to forgot/not have their business cards with them LOL!) Anyhow, the unplanned company was Nielsen:PDN. Overall I thought all three of the interviews were successful – I mean I did try my best AND .. Communication Design isn’t even my major so I was a bit of an outkast there. Gyro:HSR seems pretty cool I have to say; I ended up going home with a cool box…intro booklet thing about their company and was convinced. lol! I’m a sucker for good design / clean looking things . Here it is btw.

For a company to spend that much in an intro booklet….made me think two thingsĀ – either that company is using aesthetics to hide how bad they are or they’re actually a legit company that knows what they’re doing and worthy of my curiosity. The art director seems very chilled and I actually got an email from him shortly after so I will see where this will take me. Still waiting to see on how the others though.
Anyways another topic, I’m currently listening to

BoA’s Deluxe Album (download it)
and =( I have to say I’m disappointed with her english. There’s still that thick accent she hasn’t gotten rid of yet. COME ON BOA!! YOU’RE REPPIN ASIA IN THE AMERICAN MUSIC INDUSTRY NOWWW FREAKEN LEARN TO SPEAKKK ENGLISH BETTER. Not to sound like I’m bashing her, I really am her fan – tis just …just…still too Asian to catch the American audience. The first song “Control” is pretty catchy but really digitalized – which makes the purpose kind of obvious ahem* hiding some of her bad accented English ahem* The 2nd song I just skip, it’s rather not my cup of tea even for something mainstream. Other than that I think she’s been very successful trying to penetrate into the American music industry. You go girl! Just speak more often to non-foreigners.
