Why must you turn fem on me?!
Okay, right now I want to type about Korean Pop..well more specifically G-Dragon. For those that don’t know already,
I’m a very diverse music listener, and a bit of a music junkie. I listen to anything that’s good, in whatever language ..hmm actually probably not Thai though. Anyways, I listen to a lot of Korean music, and possibly even know more than the average Korean. Not that I’m obsessed or like whatever you call it, a crazy fan or ‘netizen” but I do enjoy Korean pop. I mean they sometimes can be very catchy and out of all the Asian music, their ranges are my cup of tea (coffee). I can type pages and pages on this but no, I will type about G-Dragon. So G dragon use to be this cute lil hip hop kid that would randomly be in music videos of artists under an entertainment company named YG Entertainment. He was very ghetto and thuggish .. I mean during the 90′s type deal. He gone missing for awhile until he hit puberty I suppose, where then he joined up with one of his future band members Tae Yang. Next, what do you know, it’s the birth of Big Bang. At first they were like all ghetto wannabes and then they got trendier/more fashion forward as they hit their official 1st mini album; after the third it just gone downhill…NO!! THAT’S WHEN G-DRAGON GOES DOWNHILL …. the other members pretty much stayed the same – but he … oh my god .. image started changing, singles after singles, albums after albums he got much more fem than ever.
Now with his latest solo mini album titled “Heartbreaker”, he, I suppose got inspiration from Lady GaGa (of allll people, he had to take after that psycho) … I think he’s hit the epitome of gay , androgyny , something beyond …
I feel the need to cringe now when I watch his stuff – I rather just listen.
Okay, cringe with me *shudders*

This new MV, oh my goodness … it can’t be any gayer. I swear he’s in the closet and hasn’t came out yet due to Korean culture and the fact that he’s a celeb.
I just don’t understand what’s the need for celebs or people in general to change in an obscene way. Sure people can say I’m more conservative or prudish but there’s always a line that one should think about and know when to draw it. Is it really necessary to be “that” outspoken about yourself, or you’re just trying really really hard to get attention even if it’s negative attention. Makes me think what people think is better – silence or people laughing at you…

I’m sorry, but I disagree. Just because he wants to try something different he’s gay? Anytime an artist does something unique and different people like you automatically say that they’re copying Lady Gaga. Well, Lady Gaga copied her style from many different artists and yet no one seems to be saying anything about that. People in general are just following the latest trend. His style should be the least of your concerns; you should focus on his music. I hate people that are shallow.
Renita, I think you need to read between the lines of my post..
I did not deliberately called him out to be gay (if you didn’t catch the less serious tone), I mainly directed toward his image and how it moved towards the direction of gayness which I think is very legit and if you disagreed to that.. then I don’t know what definition you hold of the term “gay”. Even if I had really pinned down that point such as “OMG GDRAGON IS EFFING GAY!!” ..and? you’re like me and just a fan/listening, how do you know he’s not gay? And no, not every artist that does something unique and different i/people would automatically say they’re copying lady gaga… and I didn’t say he copied, i said he got inspired by gaga… There is always a reason for some form of accusations… and from your site, it appears you do follow Asian music and you realize sony sued his copying of flo-rida right? even though it has been settled.. but if he is able to get “heavy inspiration” from others music, why wouldn’t he gain “inspiration” from someone else’s style/image?
and an additional note, i hate lady gaga but to be fair, she is the starter of all that psycho-weird-a$$-shit that is now a “trend”..even if she had copied, but she’s the one who made it a trend and got it popular..that’s why people have really nothing to call her out on. You hate people who are shallow, I hate people who make fast judgments before actually taking the time to think.
